expanded capabilities and increased connection

Friends of Gualala River is excited to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, located at the same web address as always: https://gualalariver.org

2014-03-new-website2

The new site’s homepage welcomes visitors with a clean, contemporary design and with featured content focused on our mission to protect the Gualala River watershed and the species living within it.  Our goal is to alert you to the latest issues, concerns and threats to the Gualala River watershed and to keep you updated about our activities, campaigns, and events.

Immediately you will notice streamlined menus, simple navigation and access to the information you need, any time of day.  If you use a mobile device or tablet, our new site responds with a screen size and menus that make touchscreen navigation a breeze.

Three things you’ll love about the new FoGR website right now:

  • Homepage – at a glance, see the latest from FoGR, featured forestry and river issues, current campaign news and quick links to get to where you want to go with one click. To return to the home page from anywhere on the website, click on the top banner.
  • Search – [top of the right column on every page] powerful yet simple search feature, facilitates faster location of multiple sources and locations of information on our site about a specific subject or keyword, courtesy of Google.
  • Videos and Photo Tours – click and preview aerial tours, Sightings photos, and watch videos of the Gualala River watershed.

We continuously expand our online content to bring you updated and relevant information, so we encourage you to bookmark it, check back often, subscribe to our newsletter and connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to receive notice when updates and new content are added.

DaveAdamOur sincere thanks to Dave Jordan (at left), who has maintained our website for the past 12 years, and to Adam Armstrong (at right), who designed and developed this new version of our website.

The new website is built with the WordPress content management system, using the Sahifa theme. Adam and Dave worked together to import all of Friends of Gualala River’s content from the past 12 years into the new site.
