Friends of Gualala River Protecting the Gualala River watershed and the species living within it

Please join host Jeanne Jackson (Mendonoma Sightings) for a one-time informal workshop co-sponsored by Friends of Gualala River, Forest Unlimited and California Native Plant Society – Dorothy King Young Chapter, for updates on the future of the lower Gualala River Riparian Redwood Forest, and the current lawsuit over the Dogwood Timber Harvest Plan.
We want to keep our supporters informed and engaged by this workshop, and we hope to meet new volunteers to help keep the campaign strong for the long haul ahead to save the mature floodplain forest of the lower Gualala River.
We value your participation! If you have skills or experience to help with public outreach, education, volunteer coordination, fundraising, social media, finance, or other essential non-profit conservation tasks, please join us! The success of our campaign so far is owed to our volunteers, supporters and donors.
Representatives of the three local nonprofit groups of this coalition will be available for updates, questions and answers about the current lawsuit. We look forward to an opportunity to meet our supporters face to face for discussion of conservation actions to protect our special riparian redwood forest for generations.
5-6 pm: Panel discussion and Q/A about Dogwood THP litigation and how it relates to other threats on the lower river.
6-7 pm: Small informal group discussions with FoGR, Forest Unlimited, CNPS and Jeanne Jackson. Bring your ideas and consider volunteer opportunities.
