The Gualala Municipal Advisory Council at a special meeting Tuesday evening approved a resolution protesting the proposed water bag exports from the Gualala River.

Council Chair Britt Bailey said the resolution will be accompanied by a letter of endorsement from Mendocino County Supervisor David Colfax, and a copy of the Board of Supervisors February resolution opposing the water bag proposals for the Gualala and Albion Rivers.

Council members proposed some minor changes strengthening the resolution, which is based on public interest issues that affect Gualala’s economy. Then they voted unanimously to approve the two-page resolution.

The GMAC advises the Board of Supervisors on planning issues here. Bailey said that the BOS is currently drafting its own protest to the State Water Resources Control Board.

Here is the text of the
Council’s resolution.
